1. Layout & Zoning
The Island Sink: A curved, semi-circular island serves as the primary cleaning station, housing the sink. This design choice softens the hard lines of the cabinetry and creates a central focal point.
The Cooking Zone: On the right, a built-in hob and oven are positioned under a modern chimney hood. Open shelving above the cooking area provides easy access to frequently used items.
Storage & Appliances: To the left, there is a large black double-door refrigerator and plenty of base cabinetry for storage. The gloss-finish cream cabinets help reflect light throughout the room.
2. Traditional Accents (Heritage Theme)
Wall Paneling: Behind the sink, the wall features the signature arched recessed molding seen in the living room, ensuring a consistent architectural language throughout the house.
The Window Nook: In the background, there is a charming jharokha-style seating area with bolsters and cushions. This creates a cozy "breakfast nook" or waiting area within the kitchen.
Arched Doorway: The wooden door and the arched entryway to the pantry or dining area further reinforce the Indo-Saracenic influence.
3. Materials & Finishes
Countertops: A dark, salt-and-pepper granite is used for all work surfaces, providing a durable and high-contrast look against the cream cabinets.
Flooring: The same high-gloss grey marble with dark inlay borders continues from the living and dining areas, maintaining a seamless transition between rooms.
Ceiling Work: A simple yet elegant circular POP (Plaster of Paris) molding houses a traditional wooden-blade ceiling fan, centering the room's upper volume.
4. Lighting & Ventilation
Task Lighting: Square recessed LED spotlights are strategically placed over the work zones to ensure the countertops are well-lit.
